How to Turn Off the Divi Template Builder in Visual Builder
In this tutorial, I’ll be showing you How to Turn Off the Divi Template Builder in Visual Builder. It’s just 4 easy steps and shouldn’t take more than 2 minutes.
You can proceed with the step-by-step below (assuming you have a beginning understanding of Divi) and/or you can watch the YouTube video here: https://youtu.be/mTWCYaCAnUY.
If you have any questions at the end, use the comments here or on YouTube!
Open an existing page built in Divi, that uses a Global Header or Footer. In my examples (and video), I’m using a site that I built with both but will be showing the steps using the Global Footer.
Hover your mouse over the Global Footer and notice the “Edit Footer Template” tab over the footer area. That’s what we’ll be turning off.
Open the Divi menu (the purple circle with the 3 horizontal dots) if it isn’t already, then click the 3 vertical dots in the far left of the gray bar in the bottom left of the screen.
Scroll down in that modal box to the bottom, until you see the “Theme Builder Template Editing” option. Click on the toggle to turn it off. The toggle will turn a light gray and say “Off” now.
Close the modal box and hover your mouse over the footer. You can see now that there is no option to edit the footer template.
That’s all there is to it! Once you toggle the “Theme Builder Template Editing” option to Off, you can no longer edit the Header Template, the Footer Template, or any other Theme Builder Templates (like a Post template) that you’ve built in the Divi Theme Builder! Hope that it worked right for you, and if you have any troubles, just comment below!
